On this edition of Political Rewind, with election day now just three weeks from today, the Brian Kemp Campaign doubles down on their accusations that Stacey Abrams is encouraging undocumented residents to cast ballots. On the other side, the Abrams campaign steps up their claims that Kemp, who currently serves as Georgia's secretary of state, is engaged in an effort to suppress votes of likely Democratic voters.
Early analysis of the numbers show that many Georgians won't wait until Nov. 6 to vote. Voters are requesting more mail-in ballots than the last midterm election and with just one day of in-person voting completed, many precincts are reporting long lines due to a large turnout.
Plus, when president trump wanted advice on how to fire up the GOP base for the election, he turned to Newt Gingrich, the man often credited with turning politics into a partisan civil war. The panel weighs in on Gingrich's legacy.
