This week we talked about racist robots, climate change and autism awareness. So, as we do every Friday, we sat down with our Breakroom guests to process the week's biggest news stories.

We were joined in the studio by Georgia State University professors Héctor Fernández, Soumaya Khalifa, executive director of the Islamic Speakers Bureau of Atlanta, Fayette County commissioner Steve Brown and Korea Daily reporter HB Cho.

On Second Thought host Adam Ragusea and Breakroom guests Soumaya Khalifa, Hector Fernández, HB Cho and Steve Brown discuss this week's biggest news stories.

This week's topics:

  1. Several DeKalb County school bus drivers were fired after participating in a "sickout" protest to advocate for higher wages and better benefits.
  2. A Florida teen is apologizing for the racist sign he made to ask his girlfriend to prom. It read, “If I was black, I’d be picking cotton, but I’m white so I’m picking U. Prom?"
  3. Bill Cosby has been found guilty of drugging and sexually assaulting a woman at his home in 2004.
  4. A fifth woman has accused Atlanta-based singer Usher of giving her herpes SV2.
  5. Four people were killed in a Nashville, Tennessee, Waffle House when a shooter opened fire on the restaurant with an AR-15 Rifle. James Shaw Jr. rushed the shooter, grabbed the gun away from him and wrestled him out the door. He says he's not a hero and was just trying to save himself, but he's since started a fundraiser for the other victims and their families. It's brought in $100,000 so far.
  6. On the subject of Waffle House: The Waffle House at SunTrust Park will be the franchise's first location to serve beer.
  7. People are split over the latest tweets from rapper Kanye West. He's speaking out in support of President Donald Trump, but has also hinted at his own run for president in 2024.
