An investigative report from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution finds about 12 percent of cops in Georgia schools were forced out of a previous job. The officers were terminated or investigated for a wide range of reasons, including chronically poor performance, lying to superiors, sexual misconduct and inappropriate use of force. But for some, jobs in the school system means a second chance for these troubled cops. We talk with Brad Schrade, reporter for the AJC.

Athens-based indie musician Kaoru Ishibashi, better known as Kishi Bashi, joins us to talk about his latest album, "Sonderlust." Known largely for his violin work with acts such as Regina Spektor and Of Montreal, this marks his third solo album. Kishi Bashi performs at the 40 Watt in Athens this Saturday.

Dominican-American novelist Junot Diaz published “The Brief and Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao” a decade ago. The book won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 2007. When he’s not writing, he teaches college students--he formerly taught at Freedom University here in Georgia, which offers post-secondary education to undocumented immigrants. We caught up with Junot Diaz ahead of a lecture at Emory University earlier this year.
