Music Minute: Amy Ray Of The Indigo Girls

On this day in 1964, Amy Ray of the Indigo Girls was born in Decatur, Georgia.
Ray attended Emory University along with her future musical partner, Emily Saliers.
In 1989, the Indigo Girls won a Grammy for their self-titled album, which includes this song, “Closer To Fine.”
After decades of success, the Indigo Girls are still going strong today. Amy Ray is scheduled for a solo engagement at the Variety Playhouse in July.
And in September, the Indigo Girls will join forces with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra for a show.
