The Breakroom gang joins host Celeste Headlee to weigh in on the week's news. The panel includes Georgia State University professor Hector Fernandez, Bee Nguyen of Athena’s Warehouse, Ed Sohn of Thomson Reuters, and Natalie Dale of the Georgia Department of Transportation.

Breakroom Topics:

1) During his recent trip to Asia, U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson warned America might pursue military options if North Korea keeps pushing to get nuclear weapons. Are you worried about war with North Korea?

2) Canton, Georgia in Cherokee County has become perhaps the first city in the state to ban the retail sale of dogs and cats. According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, there are about 1.5 million dogs and cats euthanized in America's shelters every year. Would such a ban help save some of them?

3) Speaking of saving animals, there’s a new kind of meat that doesn’t come from slaughtered animals. Scientists take cells from chickens and cows. The result -- something indistinguishable from what we already consume. Would you care to have some?

4) This week, U.S. Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee. One of Gorsuch’s former law school students wrote a letter to the committee. The student alleges Gorsuch told the class employers should ask women during the hiring phase about plans for having children. When asked about this during the senate hearing, Gorsuch denied ever saying this to his students, but said this topic does come up in his class.

The student who wrote the letter alleges Gorsuch told his class women commonly trick employers to hire them so they can take advantage of maternity leave and insurance. Do you think this is a problem?

5) In Hollywood, being a conservative isn’t easy. At least so says comedian and actor Tim Allen. On ABC’s "Jimmy Kimmel Live," Allen compared a conservative's experience in Hollywood to Nazi Germany. Allen was criticized for his comments. The Anne Frank Center for Mutual Respect wants an apology. It’s not usually a good idea -- and is often an exaggeration -- to compare anything to Nazis. But does Tim Allen have a point?

6) The film and TV website IMDB has introduced an F rating to mark films that have female directors, writers and actors at the helm. When you go to a movie, how much do you care about diversity? And should IMDB stop at females?

7) A London-based travel company plans to offer submarine tours next year to the Titanic, or what’s left of it. The cost of each voyage -- more than a $100,000. Would you go?

8) We’ve all heard about the importance of appreciating beauty in all its guises. A lingerie store in Kennesaw, Georgia called LiviRae Lingerie was asked to remove ads that featured plus-size and disabled models. Critics said the ads were in poor taste. The owners refused to take the images down. The store has featured ads with skinny models in the past and gotten no complaints. Should the ads stay or go?
