Mexico, NATO, And Theresa May: Recapping Trump's First Week In Office

Today on “Political Rewind,” got whiplash? It's been a wild first week for the Trump administration.
We started with Donald Trump's first press event with another world leader, Britain's Prime Minister Theresa May. NATO, torture, and an upcoming phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin were the leading topics in this media event. The panel also discussed Trump's current drama with Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto over the wall and threats of a 20 percent tariff.
In state news, we discussed the aftermath of last week's tornadoes and the response from both Gov. Nathan Deal and Trump. The ER which treated tornado victims is due to close next week, which sparked further discussion about the plight of rural hospitals and how to address those problems.
Georgia is looming large in the new Trump administration with two Cabinet picks from Georgia, Tom Price and Sonny Perdue, and other potential appointments including Stefan Passantino to work on compliance and ethics issues as deputy counsel to the president. Newt Gingrich's wife, Callista, is reportedly being considered for a potential appointment as ambassador to the Vatican.
The panel then turned to the proposed "Destination Resorts" bill allowing a voter referendum on casino gambling and took at look at the upcoming Atlanta mayor's race.
