This month, the hip-hop group A Tribe Called Quest returned from a 20 year hiatus with their new album "We Got It From Here, Thank You 4 Your Service."

The album debuted at number one on the Billboard charts and features the late rapper Phife Dawg, who passed away earlier this year.

Atlanta's own DJ Rasta Root (Dion Liverpool) was Phife Dawg's manager, collaborator, and friend. He's also the founder of Smokin Needles Records in Atlanta.

DJ Rasta Root joins us to talk about Phife Dawg's career, the music scene in Atlanta, and the fallout of the 2016 presidential election.
