After months of speculation, presidential candidate Joe Biden announced yesterday California Sen. Kamala Harris will be his running mate. And with the results from yesterday’s runoff election in Georgia all but final, we look at the match-ups for the November election.

Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms was among the finalists considered for vice president on the Democratic ballot. After months of speculation, presidential candidate Joe Biden announced yesterday California Sen. Kamala Harris will be his running mate.

And with the results from yesterday’s runoff election in Georgia all but final, we’ll take a look at the matchups in the November election.

One result from yesterday is capturing national attention. Majorie Taylor Greene, a controversial candidate for the congressional 9th district who has made anti-Semitic and Islamophobic statements, prevailed handily against her opponent John Cowan.

And in the metro Atlanta area, a shake-up in Fulton County’s District Attorney office. Longtime prosecutor Paul Howard ceded to Fani Willis. Willis is set to become the first women to be Fulton County’s top prosecutor
