Political Rewind: Georgia's Voices At Convention Call For Unity Behind Biden

Today on Political Rewind, the second day of the Democratic National Convention brought several prominent voices from Georgia to the stage. A highly entertaining roll call featured state party chairwomen Nikema Williams report Georgia’s delegate votes before a mural of Congressman John Lewis in Atlanta.
Stacey Abrams, Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter, Sam Park and Sally Yates all stepped into the limelight last night.
Our panel today included Greg Bluestein, Politics Reporter at The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, State Sen. Jen Jordan a Democratic National Convention delegate, Rep. Dar’shun Kendrick, a state Representative and first-time DNC delegate, Edward Lindsey, a former Republican state representative and political strategist.

A highly entertaining roll call featured state party chairwomen Nikema Williams report Georgia’s delegate votes before a mural of Congressman John Lewis in Atlanta.
State Rep. Dar'Shun Kendrick said much of the messaging was centered on criticism of the current administration.
"There's just so much material there," the first-time convention delegate said. "You don't need to just focus on the COVID response with this administration."
Republican strategist Edward Lindsey said the roll call was part of an attempt from Democrats to energize voters while in uncharted territory.
"The roll call is usually when you put the television on pause and go grab some thing to drink," Lindsey said. "You didn't do that this time."
