The Ultimate Dream of Every High School Student-Athlete

It is the dream of every high school football student-athlete to play in front of thousands of fans on Saturday afternoons. Here in the GREAT state of Georgia it is no different, whether it is the University of Georgia, Georgia Tech, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Valdosta State, Morehouse College, or Fort Valley State.

In less than 3 weeks the march to the Georgia Dome begins in earnest for members of the GHSA's football family as does the quest for the Bowl Championship Series aka B-C-S National Title Game in New Orleans.

Dreams begin in August, and realities are shaped in December 2011 and January 2012. We here at GPB Sports also launch our coverage this fall of the Southern Conference on October 1.

In addition to that I recently caught up with one of these country's foremost college football experts, Fox's Charles Davis, who just so happens to also be a BIG fan of High School Football. He spoke recently at the Atlanta Sports Council's College Football Preview banquet, and I got his thoughts on the upcoming season.
