Winners Announced In 2020 Congressional App Challenge For GA’s 6th Congressional District

Today, Rep. Lucy McBath announced the winners of the 2020 Congressional App Challenge for Georgia’s Sixth Congressional District. The Congressional App Challenge invites middle and high school students to design and execute original apps, inspiring young students to explore an education and career in STEM.
“Georgia’s future is bright with these young people at the helm,” said McBath. “I was so impressed by each of the apps that were submitted to this year’s competition. I hope these students never lose their passion for science and technology.”
First Place Winner
“Legal AI” created by Piranavaskanthan Abeyakaran from Dunwoody High School
Second Place Winner
“EverHealthy” created by Anish Rajeev and Nikita Jha from Northview High School
Third Place Winner
“Humans Helping Humans” created by Ansh Jain from Milton High School
In total, 19 students from Georgia’s Sixth District participated in the 2020 Congressional App Challenge and created 14 different apps. The competition was comprised of students from Dodgen Middle School, River Trail Middle School, Chattahoochee High School, Dunwoody High School, Johns Creek High School, Milton High School, Northview High School, Pope High School, and Wheeler High School.
“Legal AI” will be eligible for display in the U.S. Capitol.
