Bibb County Schools Headed Back To Face-To-Face Instruction
Primary Content
Students in Bibb County will be returning to face-to-face instruction next week.
The Bibb County School District confirmed that face-to-face instruction will resume Thursday, Feb. 18, following the district’s scheduled winter break.
Students in Bibb County have so far had a year of mixed in-person and virtual instruction, though even students for whom going to school was the primary choice have only been able to do so for a handful of days.
The new spring semester schedule will have students in brick-and-mortar classrooms no more than four days per week with Wednesday still reserved for at-home “asynchronous” instruction.
Additionally, students who previously had chosen purely virtual learning but who asked to return to in-person class may be limited to two days a week in front of a teacher.
The school district said by March it will also have new COVID-19 safety measures installed, including plexiglass desk shields for every student desk and special bipolar ionization units in air conditioning systems aimed at creating safer air flow.
Parents and guardians of Bibb Schools students can expect to hear from their schools with more details by Friday, Feb. 12.
