Sign Up By Tuesday For 12 And Up Baldwin County COVID-19 Vaccination Event
Primary Content
The Baldwin County School district is holding a vaccination event for children 12 and up on Friday, May 21.
The event is a collaboration between the middle Georgia school district and Atrium Health, a major regional healthcare provider. The region around Baldwin County has been one of the hardest hit by covid in the state.
The Pfizer vaccine is not the easiest to come by around Baldwin County. A search of the CDC's vaccine.gov site shows only three of the seven commercial providers of the Pfizer vaccine in Baldwin County currently have any stock of the vaccine that has been approved for use in young people. The local health department uses the Moderna vaccine. The same is even true of Atrium's clinic in Milledgeville.
The deadline to register for the Friday school district event is many days earlier, Tuesday May 18.
You can find more information from the school district and the form to sign a child up to be vaccinated past this link. http://bit.ly/BaldwinVax
