Sophomore RB Nykahi Davenport lifted an injury depleted Roswell backfield by rushing for 181 yards and two touchdowns to help the Hornets defeat rival Cherokee 41-13. Robbie Roper’s 48-yard TD pass to Dylan Williams early in the second quarter helped Roswell build a 27-7 halftime lead. Led by Ethan Nation and Riley Slaughter, the Hornets defense shut down Vanderbilt quarterback commit AJ Swann.
