Make That Kid An Offer Nominees: Week of November 1

GPB Sports is looking for Georgia high school football players who are having a great season and career but who may need a little help getting noticed by recruiters. If you, or someone you know, doesn’t have an offer or may just be looking for a bigger offer, tell us your story. Send the details on what you've done over your career, along with your video highlights to GPBSports@gpb.org. If you’re selected we may feature you on our Recruiting 2021 Show Fridays at 7 pm on GPB.
Cooper Bothwell, Mill Creek, OT, JR
Bothwell is a 6’3.5” 275 LBS Offensive Tackle at Mill Creek High School. Aside from football, he has played lacrosse and participated in track & field. Bothwell is active in NG3, where he gets great joy out of the fellowship and being able to help those in need. Off the field he has a 3.4 GPA and wants to play football at the next level while pursuing a career in engineering with a concentration in physics.

Rob Brown, Trion, RB, SR
Brown is a 5’11” 205 LBS Running Back at Trion High School. He can be described as a two-way player and leader. Brown leads GHSA’s Class A in rushing thus far this season. In the first half of Trion’s game against Armuchee, he had 290 yards rushing, four TDs on 14 carries, 62 yards receiving, two TDs on two receptions, two tackles and an interception. According to All On Georgia, Brown says he wants to break the school rushing record (current is 1634) and be recognized as an All-State Running Back. Brown currently has one college offer.
Nic Denick, Mill Creek, TE/DE, JR
Denick is a 6'3" 225 LBS Tight End and Defensive End at Mill Creek High School. He’s been on the varsity football team since he was a freshman and has lettered in both athletics and academics. Denick also earned a “Scholar Athlete” award in Lacrosse, where he is a member of the varsity team. Like football, he has been playing lacrosse since youth league. Denick says he loves playing football and is a playmaker with 5 QB sacks on the year and several more TFL’s. His plan is to play in college, while studying Business and Finance, in hopes of running his own business one day. Denick has a 3.84 GPA.
Quantaves Gaskins aka “Gumbo”, Hapeville Charter, DB, SR
Gaskins is a 6’1” 185 LBS Defensive Back at Hapeville Charter School. He is a DB convert that was a former QB. Gaskins is only in his second full season playing DB and has high potential. He’s committed to Vanderbilt and could easily be a higher rated player if he was on the recruiting radar earlier. Gaskins is on target to be an earlier enrollee in January and has a 1260 SAT.

Ryan Stephens, Collins Hill, RB, SR
Stephens is a 6’1” 215 LBS Running Back at Collins Hill High School. He currently has 590 carries, 400 rushing yards and three TDs on the season. Stephens’s measurables include 4.56 40-yard dash, vertical of 36”, broad jump of 10.3, bench of 295 and squat of 505. He was recognized as an All-Region in 7A and a recipient of the John Coen Sportsmanship Award.

Jarvis Germany, Mary Persons, LG, SR
Germany is a 6’3” 320 LBS Left Guard at Mary Persons High School. He is a hard-working student on and off the field. Aside from football, Germany not only maintains good grades, but also participates in basketball and track & field. He has started every varsity game in football since his sophomore year and has made a few appearances on defense this year. Some of his accomplishments include 2021 3A All-State, First-Team All-Region in Region 2-3A. His measurable’s are 375 bench, 575 squat, and 340 power clean. Germany currently has two offers from Reinhardt University and Stetson University.

Alex Mitchell, Alcovy, DB, SR
Mitchell is a 6’2” 160 LBS Defensive Back and Wide Receiver at Alcovy High School. He is a two-year starter. Off the field he has a 4.0 GPA and a composite ACT score of 20. In college, he wants to major in Marketing or Sports Kinesiology.

JT Pendleton, Eagle’s Landing, CB/ WR, SR
Pendleton is a 5’10” 160 LBS Cornerback and Wide Receiver at Eagle’s Landing High School. Along with football, he is a part of the track & field team. After high school, Pendleton wants to major in Business Management.

Amari White, Cartersville, RB, SR
White is a 5’6” 185 LBS Running Back at Cartersville High School. He rushed 28 times for 185 yards with a 16-yard TD catch leading #1 Cartersville to a 21-14 win over #4 Calhoun on the GPB Sports Football Fridays in Georgia Game of the Week. The victory gave the Purple Hurricanes their 10th straight region championship and 62nd consecutive region win. A streak that started when Amari was in third grade.
White has rebounded from a season-ending knee injury midway through his junior season to have an outstanding senior year and this despite not playing the first three games of this season because of injury. In six games, he has rushed for 769 yards with 11 total TD. However, Amari is still awaiting his first offer.
