GHSA 6A Final: Buford vs. Langston Hughes Football Fridays in Georgia
On a damp, foggy night, Langston Hughes missed a field goal on the game’s final play as Buford coach Bryant Appling became the first coach in Georgia High School Football history to win state titles in his first three seasons. The Wolves didn’t lead until Ashton Daniels 34-yard TD pass to Tobi Olawole with 2:55 remaining in the game. It is Buford’s 14th state title, 13th since 2001.
