Eric Nauert grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, and graduated from The University of Missouri-St. Louis with a degree in Speech/Communications and Certification in Creative Writing. His first experience in radio came in 1986, when he worked as a volunteer announcer for KBIA at The University of Missouri-Columbia. He went on to host a weekly Broadway-to-Hollywood program at KWWC, at Stephens College in Columbia, where, by day, he managed the college book department. In 1995, he moved to Savannah, Georgia, and joined GPB as a part-time announcer for WSVH/WWIO. Part-time gradually turned to full-time, his position evolving into Arts Reporter. In 2001, he became Station Manager for WSVH/WWIO. He has maintained his on-air position as host of Midday Music throughout his tenure at GPB. He has also produced The Green Island Radio Show with Harry O’Donoghue for GPB for 15 years. In his free time, Eric likes to play and write music and make independent films. Currently, he is editing of his first feature film, which he also wrote and directed.
