About the Blue Devils: Elbert County is the No. 2 team from Region 8. The Blue Devils are led by Region 8 co-Player of the Year Aaniyah Allen. Jamia Allen, Terrace Hester and Niya Moon also made the all-region team. Elbert County is looking for its first state championship.

Rabun County Wildcats

How they got there: Def. Lovett, def. Woodville, def. Chattooga, def. Northeast.

About the Wildcats: Rabun County won the Region 8 championship and has won seven straight games.  The Wildcats placed four on the all-region team: Gracie Deetz, Carley Haban, Lucy Hood and Sophie Woodard. Rabun County is trying to win its first state championship.

Notes: Rabun County defeated Elbert County 47-40 in the Region 8 championship game. They split during the regular season – Rabun winning 51-47 on Jan. 21 and Elbert winning 51-45 on Feb. 8.
