About the Wildcats: Lovejoy won the Region 4 championship and has won 18 straight games. Lovejoy is led by point guard Bryanna Preston, the Region 4 Player of the Year. The Wildcats dominated postseason honors, with Bryana Hardy, Keyra Peterson, La’Nya Foster and Layla Hood also named to the all-region squad. Lovejoy won the state championship in 2018 when they beat Harrison in the final.

About the Chiefs: Sequoyah is the No. 2 team from Region 7. Junior Ellie Blatchford averages 16.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists and was named to the first-team all-region squad. Seniors A’ryn Jackson (12 points, 5.3 rebounds) and Susanna Rogers (8.0 points, 5.0 assists, 2.4 steals) were second-team picks and freshman Milanni Abdus-Salaam (4.7 points, 3.7 rebounds) and sophomore Sayler Davies were honorable mention selections. Sequoyah won state championships in 1994 and 1996.
