In this week’s Medical Minute, Dr. Joseph Hobbs, Chair Emeritus of the Department of Family Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University, discusses the newly discovered role of a specific protein in protecting cells that connect our eyes to our brain. These cells are damaged when glaucoma causes pressure inside the eyes build, which can lead to blindness.
