Live from the Grand Teton Music Festival
Every summer, some of the nation’s top musicians come together at the base of the majestic Teton Range in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, to create an all-star orchestra for the Grand Teton Music Festival Orchestra under the leadership of maestro Donald Runnicles.
Runnicles himself co-hosts the 13-week radio series Live from the Grand Teton Music Festival with festival general manager Jeff Counts. Together they celebrate the return to live performances at the Walk Festival Hall with stunning concerto performances by Yefim Bronfman, James Ehnes, Michael Mulcahy, Augustin Hadelich and Leila Josefowicz, as well as several new works and premieres. Atlanta Symphony musicians such as cellist Daniel Laufer and harpist Elisabeth Remy-Johnson are also featured.
Originally from Scotland, Donald Runnicles also currently serves as general music director of the Deutsche Oper Berlin, and since 2001 he has been principal guest conductor of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.
