Ethan Johnson, Deerfield Windsor School, ATH, SR
Johnson is a 6’1 208 LBS senior athlete at Deerfield Windsor School. He is a four-year starter and team captain that is currently leading the team in rushing yards, total touchdowns, sacks, and tackles for loss. During his junior year, Johnson was named 1st Team All-Region and this year, he was selected to be a part of 2022 GIAA All-Star Football Team. When he’s not playing football, Johnson is busy maintaining his 4.6 GPA, participating in various extracurriculars like FBLA, Beta Club and Key Club or running track in the football off-season. Johnson has received offers from Albany State and Allen University.

Mason AKA ‘Stumpy’ Bailey, Bowdon, DT, SR
Bailey is a 6’0 260 LBS four-year starting defensive tackle at Bowdon High School. He is on the team leadership committee and is said to be a selfless team player that does what’s asked of him no matter what - a 100% team first player. Bailey plays multiple positions on the offensive and defensive lines as well as some skill positions. He runs a 4.9- 5.1 40 yard dash, squats 530 pounds, benches 325 and power cleans 275. Bailey has a 3.6 GPA and lives in the weight room.

Joshua Waymack, Lanier Christian Academy, OG/OT, SO
Waymack is a 6’5 365 LBS sophomore offensive guard and offensive tackle at Lanier Christian Academy. Throughout eight games, he has allowed only one sack and six QB pressures on 256 pass-blocking snaps. In the weight room he benches 275, squats 405, and power cleans 225. Waymack has received invites from many D1 camps, and attended the 2022 NXTGN showcase, 2022 Trench King hosted by Coach Logan Tuley-Tillman and showcases at Georgia Tech.

Sam Brown, Thomas County Central, QB, SR
Brown is a 6’1 205 LBS senior quarterback at Thomas County Central High School. The Region 1-6A Yellow Jackets are 10-0 and set to play Evans this Friday night. Brown has broken Charlie Ward’s (1993 Heisman winner and National Champion at FSU) single season passing record at Thomas County Central. He has 152 completions out of 222 attempts, 2,173 yards, 23 TD's
rushed for 342 yards with 9 TD’s. Brown is a scholar athlete with a 3.59 GPA. He wants to major in business or finance in college.

Ethan Christian, Prince Avenue Christian, WR/CB, SR
Christian is a 6’0 175 LBS senior two-way starter as both wide receiver and cornerback at Prince Avenue Christian. The four-year varsity starter has a slew of football awards including: First Team All-Region WR, 2022 Athens Banner Herald's Terrific 20, Recruit Georgia All-State Honorable Mention and Recruit Georgia 2022 Pre-Season All State team. Christian finished his junior season with 43 receptions for 967 yards, 14 TD’s and started at WR in the state championship game. Through eight games this season, he has 41 receptions for 644 yards, nine TD’s, and an INT. He runs a 4.55 40, and has a 34" vertical. In a matchup against CalPreps Top 100 team The Baylor School in Chattanooga, TN this year, Christian scored the go-ahead TD on a 41-yard reception and intercepted the ball on the goal line on the last play of the game, sealing the victory for Prince Avenue. The wide receiver/cornerback was recently selected to participate in Rusty Mansell's Georgia Elite Classic game in December. He has been to game day and junior day visits to UT Chattanooga, Furman, Wofford, Western Carolina, and GA Southern. Off the field, Christian has a 3.3 GPA and scored a 20 on the ACT. His dream is to play D1 college football. He currently has no offers.

Jeremy Blute, Houston County, OL, JR
Blute is a 6’3 235 LBS junior offensive lineman at Houston County High School. Tasked with protecting the blind side of 4-star quarterback AJ Hill Jr, Blute has done just that. Just a junior, Blute has been a starter since mid sophomore year. His frame lends to great potential with a long wing span and a high football IQ. Blute’s excellence also shines in the classroom with a 4.0 GPA, 1320 SAT all while talking several Advanced Placement (AP) classes and the remaining honors placement classes.

Gary Maddox III, East Jackson, MLB/ RB, SR
Maddox is a 5’9 174 LBS senior middle linebacker and running back at East Jackson Comprehensive High School. The four year starter has received the All-Region defense team award every year since playing for the Eagles. Last year, Maddox ended up leading his team in tackles with 106 on the year while tacking on 609 yards from scrimmage on the offensive side of the ball. This year, he has 11 TD’s, 87 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, two interceptions, and two sacks. He is currently first in his region (2A-8) for tackles, second in touchdowns and third for rushing yards. Maddox has also played basketball and track all four years. He served as captain of the basketball and football teams for two years.
Academically, Maddox has maintained a 3.8 GPA while taking all AP and honors classes. He is have also a member of the BETA club, received an Academic Letter for two consecutive years and was honored with the Rotary Student of the Month for Jackson County.
East Jackson is headed to the state playoffs this Friday for the first time since 2009! He says his team is going to do their best to bring it home!
