Undefeated Carrollton will host giant-killer Walton in the Class 7A quarterfinals for this week’s Football Friday’s in Georgia broadcast from Grisham Stadium.

Kickoff will be 7:30 p.m. The game will be shown live on GPB-TV, GPB.org and the GPB Sports app. The game will be repeated on GPB-TV after the postgame show. It will be available on-demand at GPB.org/sports.

Carrollton (12-0) is the Region 2 champion. The Trojans, playing in Class 7A for the first year, routed Marietta 47-14 in the second round. Carrollton is led by freshman quarterback Julian “JuJu” Lewis, who threw for 186 yards and two touchdowns in last week’s win.

Walton (10-2) finished second in Region 5, but last week knocked off No. 1-ranked Buford 42-35 in the second round. The Raiders are led by quarterback Jeremy Hecklinski, who threw for more than 300 yards and four touchdowns and ran for another in the victory.

This will be the first meeting between the two teams.
