Class A Division I: Prince Avenue Christian 52, Swainsboro 34

Prince Avenue Christian quarterback Aaron Philo threw for 477 yards and six touchdowns to lead No. 1 Prince Avenue Christian to a 52-34 win over No. 2 Swainsboro in the Class A Division I championship on Thursday.
It was the second championship for the Wolverines (14-0), who also won it all in 2020. Swainsboro finished 14-1 and came up short in an attempt to win its first title since 2000.
Philo completed 21 of 32 passes with one interception. He had three receivers with 100-plus yards – Josh Britt, six catches for 201 yards and three touchdowns; Bailey Stockton, who had nine receptions for 145 yards and two touchdowns; and Ethan Christian, who had five catches for 106 yards and one touchdown. Payton Talmadge rushed for 106 yards and one touchdown.
Britt was a two-way star. He led the team with 10 tackles. Christian Garrett had six tackles and Jakari Nobles had six tackles and intercepted a pass.
Swainsboro was dominant on the ground, rushing for 436 yards. Ty Adams, a North Carolina commit, carried 16 times for 256 yards and scored on runs of 45, 27, 66 and 46 yards. He also threw for 65 yards and made three tackles.
