2023 Basketball Spotlight: Westminster 5-Star Courtney Ogden
Primary Content
Westminster 5-star senior Courtney Ogden credits hard work and listening to her dad, Christopher, for all her success on the court. Like her father, Ogden is committed to play Division 1 basketball in college and will be taking her talents to Stanford University next season. She plans on majoring in economics and wants to eventually make it to the WNBA.
This season Ogden has led the Wildcats to first place in Class 4A Region 6 with an 18-6 overall record and just one loss in region play while averaging a team high 21 points and nearly 10 rebounds per game.
Ogden’s basketball career began in elementary school when she joined the AAU team before she entered fifth grade. Fast forward a year later and she picked up her first college offer from then coach MaChelle Joseph at Georgia Tech in just sixth grade.
Now in her senior season of high school, Ogden is ranked No. 10 on the 2023 espnW Hoopgurlz Recruiting Rankings. The sharp shooting wing also earned a spot on the 2022 USA U18 National Team that won the championship in Argentina.
Watch my interview where I spoke with Ogden about her recruitment process and how she’s preparing for the next level.
