DeKalb Silver Streaks

DeKalb defeated the Clayton Eagles 28-18 to earn a spot in the state championship. The Silver Streaks (6-2) were led by Najee Smothers with 21 points. Smothers was a member of the 2015 Silver Streaks JV team that won a state championship.

The team is coached by Delton Schoates (Idlewood Elementary) and Everette Schoates (Coralwood Elementary).

Houston County Sharks

Houston County defeated the West Georgia Wolverines to reach the championship game.

The Sharks beat DeKalb 32-13 to win the championship last year. Adonis Brown scored 16 points in the contest to give Houston County its ninth title in the last 10 years. Houston County won eight straight until DeKalb broke the streak in 2021.

The Sharks are coached by Stephen Roberson and assisted by Anna Henry.
