- Sine Die, which is Latin for "no more days," is the deadline for bills to pass during this legislative session.
- One bill at issue is the sports betting bill, which has been a long-argued issue in Georgia.
- Another surrounding antisemitism faces opposition over the ability to criticize Isreal.
- Sponsors do not define hate speech, but use an organization's definition.
-
A bill for $6,500 vouchers creeps toward Georgia House passage.
-
Gov. Brian Kemp threw his support behind the measure.
-
2. Georgia judge orders prosecutors to reply to Trump challenge.
- A Georgia judge on Monday ordered the Fulton County district attorney's office to respond to a motion by former President Donald Trump to throw out a report by a special grand jury that investigated attempts to interfere in the state's 2020 presidential election.
- The filing is an effort by Trump to escape one of the multiple legal challenges he faces, including a state inquiry in New York into hush money payments to women.
- The shooter, who police said was a white 28-year-old from the Nashville area, was shot dead by two officers.
- The shooter was originally identified as a woman who graduated from the school, but authorities say the shooter identifies with he/him pronouns.
- President Biden, is once again calling on Congress to pass an assault weapons ban.
