Make That Kid An Offer Nominees: Week of September 4
Primary Content
GPB Sports is looking for Georgia high school football players who are having a great season and career but who may need a little help getting noticed by recruiters. If you, or someone you know, doesn’t have an offer or may just be looking for a bigger offer, tell us your story. Send the details on what you've done over your career, along with your video highlights to GPBSports@gpb.org. If you’re selected we may feature you on our Football Fridays in Georgia Halftime Show Fridays at 7:30 pm on GPB. You can also watch it on demand here.
Here are our nominees for the week of September 4, 2023.
Cameron Haynes, Flowery Branch, LB, SR
Cameron Haynes is a 6'0 207 LBS Senior Linebacker at Flowery Branch High School. The four-year varsity starter was getting looks during his sophomore and junior seasons until he suffered an injury that quieted his recruitment. Despite the setback, Haynes continued to work hard in region two, earning him an All-Region slot. Haynes says that he is in the best shape of his football career, at a much leaner 207 LBS. In his first few games of the season, he was named both Hall County and Team DPOW for week one where he had 12 tackles and a huge blocked punt. In his week two game, Haynes had eight tackles and one sack, to help his team pull of their 3-peat win against St. Pius X. Last week, he was named FBHS Defensive Player of the Week (vs. Stephens Co), he pulled off nine tackles, two TFL and one Forced fumble (sack).
Off the field, Haynes holds a 3.9 GPA, and says he's looking to combine his smarts and passion for the game at the next level.
