    Heads Up Georgia 2024 Video Contest Rules 

    NOTE: GPB encourages participants to practice safety and caution while producing these videos.

     

    1. All entries must be produced as a video public service announcement (PSA).

    2. Each entry must focus on the dangers of Distracted Driving. Be creative in illustrating why safe driving is important and how to practice safe driving while avoiding distractions.

    3. The length of each PSA should be exactly 30 seconds.

    4. Entrants must be currently enrolled in a Georgia High School.

    5. Each PSA must have one Lead Producer. While several students may work together on the project, it must be submitted under only one name and any prizes will be awarded to the named Lead Producer only. Participants can choose to divide the prize on their own terms if they choose.

    6. There is no entry fee.

    7. Videos may be submitted for consideration one (1) time only. Once a video is submitted to Georgia Public Broadcasting that video becomes ineligible for submission into future Buckle Up Georgia! Video Contests.

    8. Entries may be submitted through GPB.org website starting on September 9, 2024. The deadline for submissions is 11:59 PM on Sunday, November 10th, 2024. Voting for finalists is open Monday, November 18, 2024 through Sunday, December 1, 2024. Winners will be contacted by December 9, 2024 and will be announced during the GHSA High School Football Championships on December 16, 17, and 18, 2024.

    9.  All entries must be submitted in digital format. These files must be posted online via YouTube and a link will be listed on the entry form.

    10. No copyrighted materials (music, images, etc.) may be used for this contest unless you own the copyright or have a license to use the material for this contest. Written permission must be obtained and provided upon request for all copyrighted materials.

    12. No professional assistance is allowed. Adults may assist with production but are limited to verbal guidance only. Adults are allowed to be actors but not content contributors.

    13. Content must comply with all local and national laws of the country of origin and the United States. Content must not 1) promote illegal behavior; 2) support racial, religious, sexual, or other invidious.
