Amari White rushed for 172 yards and a touchdown leading Cartersville to it’s 61st straight region victory and tenth consecutive region title. The Purple Hurricane led 14-0 at the half and 21-7 in the fourth quarter when Georgia signee Cole Speer got Calhoun back into the game with a 76-yard scoring reception. But Cartersville hung on late to clinch the 7-5A championship.
