GHSA 4A Final: Benedictine vs. Carver Columbus Football Fridays in Georgia
Auburn signee Holden Geriner threw touchdown passes of 61, 58, 80 and 23 yards to lead the Benedictine Cadets to their third state championship under coach Danny Britt. Despite a heavy fog that diminished visibility, Geriner finished with 397 yards passing. Justin Thomas scored touchdowns rushing and receiving for Benedictine, which started the season 0-2 before winning 13 straight.
