Two years after their deaths, the AAPI Caucus remembered Atlanta’s spa shooting victims. Rep. Michelle Au (D—Johns Creek) said the fight for stricter gun laws is ongoing. SB 140, prohibiting hormone therapy or gender reassignment surgeries on trans minors, was passed in the House after contentious debate. Democrats argued the bill will raise already high suicide rates among transgender youth.
