On Day 26, lawmakers’ memorial to slain UGA student, Laken Riley, grew political as each side blamed the other party for illegal immigration. The House rustled up a bill that increases penalties for cattle thieves and legislation that gives the state authority over the Georgia’s rivers and waterways. And, the amended FY 2024 budget was passed in both chambers.
