Mr. Ervine “Pete” Inglis Jr. was born on January 29, 1922 in Aurora, Nebraska. Mr. Inglis graduated from Grinnell College and Washington University Medical School. After graduating from medical school, he served as a flight surgeon. Here he recalls why he joined the Air Corps after college, flying an A-26 Invader plane in Yokota, Japan, and the events that led to him regretting becoming a flight surgeon.
