Hiram Little

Hiram E. Little, Sr. was born in March of 1919. He trained with the U.S. Air Corps and became an instructor at Maxwell Field in Alabama. Mr. Little remembers his experiences training African American pilots, trying to integrate the all-white Officers’ Club, and the Fairfield Incident, a protest by 101 African American soldiers who refused to accept segregation.
