Mina L. Davis was born in February of 1926 in South Carolina. He was
drafted into the Navy three months after he turned eighteen and was serving
in the Phillipines seven months later. He served on the USS Guam as a
Seaman First Class where he manned a five-inch anti-aircraft gun. He shares
tales of shooting down kamikaze pilots and other experiences from the war.
