Lieutenant Commander
Navy
Mr. Moncher L. Ivey was born in September of 1924. He served with the Navy in the Pacific Theater, spending most of his time on the U.S.S. English. Mr. Ivey remembers putting out fires on the U.S.S. Bunker Hill after a kamikaze attack, escorting the atomic bomb to Guam, and plucking a pilot out of open water, only to discover that they were childhood friends.
