Norman Griffis served in an anti-aircraft battalion in the Army and fought at Omaha Beach on D-day. In his interview, Griffis remembers the details of shooting down German planes, scouting German positions, and the threat of getting frost bite on the battlefield. He earned the Bronze Star for his service.
