Mr. Phil Jordan was born in Monticello, Georgia on April 24, 1925. He was enrolled in the Naval ROTC program at Georgia Tech in June 1942, commissioned an Ensign in February 1945, completed various Destroyer schools, served aboard the Chevalier DDR 805 from November 1945 to June 1946. He was recalled from the Inactive Reserve during the Korean War Emergency and served aboard the Eaton DDE 510 for two years, ending his active Navy career as a Lieutenant and Gunnery Officer. He was in the Navy Reserve for nineteen years.
