The Women of Moody Field were all born in Valdosta, Georgia between 1921 and 1925. As they neared maturity, war broke out, bringing an influx of young male recruits to nearby Moody Field. These five women share their experiences growing up near an Air Force base and how it affected their lives. They detail their experiences falling in love with the young cadets, what it was like losing their new loves in battle, and how they adjusted to married life during a time of war.
