Mr. Val Archer was born April 13, 1929. Enlisting at the early age of 15, Mr. Archer joined the Army Air Corps and served with the Tuskegee Airmen. Mr. Archer discusses his service as an instrument specialist on P-47’s and C-47’s, what being a Tuskegee Airman means to him, and his feelings about receiving the Congressional Gold Medal.
