Mr. William W. Dipman served in the Army Infantry as a Captain. His tour of duty included Europe, Iceland and Australia. Having landed in Normandy twenty days after D-Day, Mr. Dipman describes the advance into France and includes his experiences at the Battle of the Bulge where he witnessed surprise attacks by German paratroopers. Mr. Dipman’s unit pushed all the way into Germany and he relates a story of coming into a concentration camp.
