William Garner

Mr. William Clifford Garner was born on June 16, 1920, in Rome, Georgia. Mr. Garner attained the rank of Staff Sergeant in the Army 4th Infantry, specializing in field artillery as a radio operator. Serving in the European Theater, Mr. Garner was among the soldiers who assaulted Omaha Beach on D-Day. He describes the push into France and his experiences at the Battle of the Bulge and Bastogne.
