Winfield Boggs was born November 2, 1925 in Atlanta, GA. He chose to join the Marine Corps because he was patriotic and because he wanted the opportunity to leave Atlanta. Together with his wife, Mr. Boggs has raised three successful children. Among his children is the baseball player Wade Boggs.
