Gulfstream's $500 Million Expansion Has Meant More Jobs Than Previously Predicted

Expansion at the Savannah/Hilton Head Airport is complete.

A previously projected 1000 new jobs has actually been 1700 according to Gulfstream, the airport’s largest tenant. And, more jobs are expected.

According to CoastalSource.com, Three years ago, Gulfstream promised at least a thousand jobs with its seven year expansion plan. The company’s already surpassed its employment goal. “This means there’s economic development happening. Anytime you can expand businesses, you can create more jobs. If you expand the job base, you’re going to get a better economy. Better economy means more people spending money on flights. More people flying, the better we look for airlines coming in the future,” says Lori Lynah of Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport.
