Georgia is a much "Better than Average" state for retiree income

A report by the financial planning site, Interest.com, shows Georgia retirees (aged 64+) earning 62% of the average income for Georgians aged 45-64.

The 62% “replacement” income level ranks Georgia 17th nationwide.

According to census bureau data only two states(Nevada & Hawaii) find retirees earning 70% or more of what they earned when they retired.

The national average is 57%.

America’s best state for retiree income compared to pre-retirement income is Nevada at almost 71%. The worst state is Massachusetts, where the average retiree earns only 45% of pre-retirement income.
