Atlanta's Newest Tourist Attraction is Creating Construction Jobs

Construction is underway on Skyview, the 20-story Ferris wheel located next to Centennial Olympic Park, according to WXIA-TV and Atlanta Business Chronicle.

The Ferris wheel arrives on Monday in hundreds of pieces, and is scheduled to be completed and opened July 2nd.

Skyview will employ approximately 50 people and will be one of the cheaper attractions in the Centennial Olympic Park area. Atlanta Partners, LLC, has noted that tickets will $13.50 for adults and $8.50 for children, and discounted tickets for seniors, members of the military and groups of 20 or more.

Patrons will ride in 42 six-person, air conditioned gondolas. There also will be a VIP gondola with all-leather seating, a TV monitor and a champagne/wine bucket. Each flight takes between 12 and 15 minutes and includes four rotations around the wheel.

Other tourist attractions within walking distance are the World of Coke, the Georgia Aquarium, CNN Center, Philips Arena, the Georgia Dome and the Georgia World Congress Center.
