On February 4th, 2017, kids and their families were invited to the Children’s Museum of Atlanta in partnership with GPB for Be My Neighbor Day With Daniel Tiger, an event focusing on what it means to share and support their community through acts of kindness.

Attendees were asked to donate a new or gently used sweater to donate to a neighbor in need as part of the program. While at the event, kids were also encouraged to help assemble activity packs for patients from Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta as well as design a greeting card to give to a neighbor.

But it wasn’t all work and no play for the kids. The Museum stayed open late to accomodate the young guests and their families, including painting, molding objects with sand, fishing with toy rods, and using toys to mimic a grocery shopping trip. Many attendees were also able to meet the titular star of the event, Daniel Tiger himself, in one-on-one photo opportunities.

We want to thank the partnership of the Children’s Museum of Atlanta for making this such a fun evening. The event was made possible with generous support from the Fred Rogers Company and PNC Grow Up Great. For photos of the sold out event, you can visit our gallery.
