When you’re going on vacation, you don’t have to leave your dog (or cat) with a pet boarder anymore. Plenty of hotels and inns welcome four legged furry guests. Many of them have gone beyond being simply pet-friendly establishments and offer special amenities too. Check out this list of hotels in Georgia that treat pets like the V.I.Ps (Very Important Pets) they truly are.

.) The Ritz-Carlton Buckhead: In addition to welcoming dogs, it also pet-friendly dining out in the patio area of the Ritz Carlton Cafe.

.) Hotel Indigo Atlanta and Athens: When your dog stays here, he or she is treated like royalty. Dogs get their own beds and bowls. On Wednesdays, they can mingle with other pooches during the Canine Cocktail hour.

.) Thunderbird Inn Savannah: The inn rolls out the welcome mat and plenty of swag for dogs or cats. Pets receive a custom inn pet bed, stainless steel dishes and mats, bottled spring water, good dog, bad dog treats, a souvenir Thunderbird Inn pet tag and a supply of Doggie Business Bags for clean-up.

.) La Quinta Inn Savannah: Most pet friendly hotels require a pet fee and a size minimum. This discount hotel allows up to two dogs of any size for no additional charge.

.) Loews Hotel Atlanta: Clearly the Loews Loves Pets. That’s not a clever phrase I made up; it’s the name of their esteemed pet program. Pets are truly treated like stars with a special room service menu, welcome letter from the general manager, pet toys and bedding. Pet-walking and pet-sitting services are also offered. There is a two pet per room limit.
