Join us for an exciting opportunity to empower secondary civics and journalism educators and their students through the GPB Student Voices Collective! In collaboration with GPB EducationGPB News, and PBS NewsHour Student Reporting Labs, we're launching a year-long initiative to amplify student voices and enhance media literacy among Georgia's youth.

Selected participants will embark on a journey starting with an immersive training and consultation session with representatives from GPB and PBS. Throughout the program, educators will receive ongoing support and resources to facilitate the creation of media shorts, fostering meaningful discussions around crucial topics such as the upcoming election.

Our inaugural meeting will occur in person on June 13, 2024, at the Georgia Public Broadcasting studios in downtown Atlanta. Travel assistance is available upon request for those residing beyond 50 miles of metro Atlanta.

Participants will gain access to a wealth of free online resources and a personalized media kit courtesy of GPB Education, empowering them to integrate media literacy education into their curriculum effectively. In addition to professional development opportunities, incentives for chosen applicants include certificates of participation, exclusive GPB and PBS merchandise, ongoing support, and coaching from industry experts.

Equip your students for success by applying for the GPB Student Voices Collective today! Don't miss out on this enriching experience that will leave a lasting impact on educators and students alike.
